It doesn’t seem that long ago that I launched my first ever product, Flawless Cleanser. It quickly became a community cult favourite and, 7 years on, the formula remains unchanged and it's my own personal ride-or-die cleanser.
However - it only addresses 9% of our skin.
It seems obvious, in retrospect, that something was missing from the range. Patients would ask for body wash recommendations all the time, and so I finally decided it was time to address the remaining 91% of our skin, because it deserves exactly the same expertise as our face.
All too often, cleansing our body is treated as an afterthought, sandwiched haphazardly somewhere between shampooing and shaving. Functional, maybe. Transformative? Definitely not.
That’s why I created Flawless Body Cleanser, an exfoliating and hydrating jelly wash that treats your body with the same intelligent care as your face.
Why Your Body Skin Deserves More
At least 1 in 5 patients raises a body concern during a visit to the clinic. I suspect more have concerns but are just too embarrassed to raise them.
Here’s the truth: our body skin behaves differently. It has fewer oil glands and cell turnover is slower, meaning dead cells linger and texture can build up, especially as we age. We often forget to apply sunscreen to our body with the same diligence as we do to our faces, so the signs of premature ageing accumulate on sun-exposed areas like our chests and forearms.
And then there’s the hair follicles. They can get clogged up, causing breakouts - as many as 50% of those with facial breakouts also have body blemishes. Ingrown hairs related to hair removal can get trapped in the follicles, causing spots and inflammation. And we can experience blemishes on sites of friction, like the buttocks, when heat and tight clothing upset the microbiome in the follicle.
Then there’s keratosis pilaris, my own personal body bugbear. This is an inherited condition - a remarkable 1 in 2 of us carries the gene, so this is the most common body skin disorder I see in my practice. And yet, many of us are going at those little inflamed follicular plugs with a loofah or coarse scrub, making the barrier issue and redness worse.
I realised we can do better.
What Makes It Special
Flawless Body Cleanser had to stay true to our brand principles - transformative but formulated for real life. That’s why I combined our pillars Cleanse and Activate into a single, efficient step for your body.
I borrowed from our Flawless Cleanser formula, choosing the same gentle surfactants to deliver our signature luxurious, skin-hugging jelly texture. This ensured it would cling to the skin long enough for it to work and deliver benefits; I find that so many body washes disappear down the plughole the second they’re applied to wet skin. I also kept aloe vera and allantoin to ensure it was suitable for even the most sensitive skin.
This fragrance-free, ultra-hydrating and intentional formula allows us to use a powerful dual-acid system that’s sophisticated enough to tackle all of the common skin concerns:

3% Mandelic Acid: an ultra-gentle alpha hydroxy acid that’s oil-soluble and antibacterial, so it actually behaves a little like a BHA. It penetrates hair follicles to tackle keratosis pilaris, ingrown hairs and body breakouts to help deliver bright, clear skin.

2% Lactic Acid: a multitasker that gently loosens the bonds between dead skin cells, resurfacing texture, brightening uneven tone, and even addressing early signs of ageing. Innate to our skin, it also supports the microbiome and acts as a humectant, so skin stays balanced and hydrated.
Both are delivered in what I call the “Exfoliation Window” — an optimal pH of 3.7 to deliver maximum efficacy with care for these two acids.
The result is a body cleanser that doesn’t just wash - it actively transforms.

A formula can look great on paper, but of course the real proof is in the testing. Reassuringly our clinicals proved the formula was suitable for sensitive skin* and in our community testing, the results were every bit as good as I hoped:
