You don't need me to tell you what a difficult year this has been. But I was reflecting on what has given me the strength to get through this year and I realise that my commitment to you all has been a big part of it. There have been many days when I’ve felt anxious, discouraged or self-doubting and I’ve just wanted to curl up in a ball and shut out the world because of the relentless waves of bad news. But I couldn’t…..I had a video to deliver each Thursday ….and a blog and a newsletter to post alongside…..and then there have been the twice-weekly Lives. I had to show up for Dr Emma, Dr Rakesh and above all, for you guys. And that feeling of being connected with you all, and hopefully making your lives a little easier with the advice and education has helped anchor me. So thank-you from the bottom of my heart.
Looking after ourselves has been the way many of us have stayed balanced. Hence I thought it apt on this last day of the year to reflect on some of the products that have been discussed over the last 12 months. To highlight the winners that I’ve become attached to and to share why they’re favourites.
Products I’ve Loved
Skin
Flawless Brightly Serum - I shamelessly admit I formulated this with my own pernickety skin in mind. Suitable for redness-prone and breakout-prone skin, it keeps my skin radiant against all the odds.
Flawless Gossamer - my all-mineral SPF that makes skin look incredible. Making a daily SPF habit that little bit easier to engage with.
Flawless Body Therapy - it’s high time we gave our bodies some of the attention we shower on our faces. This super-charged formula is as effective at brightening, smoothing and firming as it is nourishing.
Hair
Dyson Air-wrap Yet another winner from Dyson, this creates effortless waves as you dry.
Nails
Make-up
Surratt Dew Drops and Liner and Relevee Mascara and Eyelash Curlers. This is my make-up brand of the year - everything is beautiful, both in terms of form and function. I’ll be repurchasing both Dew Drops and the mascara, they’re that good.
